Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bars…..

AS I sit in the studio and listen to all our clients talk about what they ate last night or the day before, or in some cases what they didn’t eat yesterday!  You all know who you are!!!

I think the biggest issue is that people don’t have enough information or enough ideas about what to make or how to create their meals, much less to remember to eat 5-6 times per day! Who does that???  Remember that if you are doing that the most important aspect of this is nutrient timing.  We suggest that you eat every 3-3.5 hours of the day and keep your meals very balanced.

So I thought what a better idea than to give you a easy, healthy, and did I mention great tasting idea.  I have had multiple clients make these bars and bring me back some of the changes that they have made to make them even better or taste better, BUT they kept the main idea in mind, HEALTHY!

PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE CHIP BARS

Ingredients:

16 Tablespoons Whey/Soy Protein Isolate

1.5 Cups Post Grape Nuts

1 Cup Uncooked Old Fashioned Oats

3/4 Cup Honey

1 Cup Natural Peanut Butter

1.5 Teaspoons Vanilla Flavor Extract

1/3 Cup Chocolate Chips

Combine protein, grape nuts, oats in large bowl and set aside.  Bring honey to a boil, remove from heat and Stir in natural peanut butter and vanilla until smooth.  immediately add honey mixture to dry mixture until well incorporated.  Refridgerate for 15-20 minutes.  Stir in chocolate chips and press into an 8×8 inch pan.  Refridgerate for another 20-25 minutes or until firm.

Makes 12 bars.  Store in airtight container.
